Advisor for the institutional investor’s acquisition through a Forward Fund plus land acquisition of a student accommodation development in Coventry for 1,200 beds. The 371,000 sqft development will be delivered in 2 phases and is made up of 3 buildings. Phase 1 will deliver 823 bedrooms and includes a 20-storey tower on the junction of Bishop Street and Lamb Street. Phase I will be completed in July 2020 and open for the 2020/2021 academic year. The development is centrally located and within the city ring road. It is a short walk to the main Coventry University campus, and on the doorstep of the city’s centre with its cafes, restaurants, shops, and amenities.

Adviser for the Forward Fund of a 752-bed student accommodation development in Leeds which is set to open in the summer of 2021. When completed it will be the tallest building in Yorkshire and North East England. The project will represent an overall investment of £70m and construction work started on the 37-storey building in October 2018. The site, located on Tower House Street, will provide 752 bedrooms of purpose-built student accommodation, along with a roof terrace on the 35th floor to take advantage of the uninterrupted views across the city. At its peak Hume House will create over 300 construction jobs and will create a number of apprenticeships.

Atrium arranged the senior debt development finance to support the development of a 301-bed purpose-build student accommodation scheme in Glasgow. Scheduled for completion in Summer 2019, the 301-student bed development will be built close to and in conjunction with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, one of the top five performing arts institutions in the world. The RCS was founded in 1845 and counts Prince Charles as its patron and Cameron Mackintosh as president of the University. The project will provide students with a wealth of amenities including; five bespoke sound-proofed music practice rooms, a dance studio, a gym, cinema room, study halls, two roof terraces and a sky lounge.
